What is your favorite season? My favorite is spring.
The reason I like spring is thats when the trees start to bud, birds are back chirping, there is a smell of freshness in the air, and the temperatures are warming up. It also means the long, cold winter is over and new life begins.
Living a Christian life is much like the four seasons. There are times when it’s dark and cold, when we go through testing and trials. We then emerge into spring, when we have renewed joy, hear the birds sing, breathe in fresh air, and feel new excitement to further God’s Kingdom. Then we travel into summer. We stay the course, everything is going great, and we feel an abundance of love from God. As we get into fall, we see cold weather approaching and prepare our hearts and minds. We know that again we will go through trials and testing. And the cycle begins again.
The encouraging promise we need to remember is that God is right there with us in each season we are in. Hebrews 13:5 (KJV): “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
That is an encouraging promise from God.
If you are a fellow brother or sister in Christ, I encourage you to stay in God’s Word and continually be in prayer. Let us praise the Lord together for allowing us to experience the seasons of life.
