Born in 1961, Tim Barger was raised in Northern Indiana, where he still resides today. Married in 1994, he has two sons and four granddaughters. Tim has worked a variety of jobs until he became a school custodian in a public school, where he worked for 26 years. In 2023, after a series of health issues, he retired from full-time work and now enjoys a restful retired life. He was brought up in a Bible-believing church and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of six. Tim loves nature, hiking, and camping. He is also an avid model railroader. Tim’s One True King blog expresses his personal beliefs about who Christ is, based on his own trials, struggles, and victories throughout his life’s journey. The purpose of the blog is to not only share what Christ has done in his life but also to encourage others who are going through some of the same life struggles Tim has experienced. Tim believes that by having a firm foundation of faith, one can endure through any life’s storms, knowing that God is enough and that His unending grace forgives us when we fall. Tim shares about the joy God provides as one emerges from life’s storms, and how his walk with God has grown closer and deeper because of those challenges. Tim hopes that his blog can be an encouragement to those who take the time to read it, and that they may find the peace and joy that Tim has found through the loving arms of his Father, Christ Jesus.
