I started writing this blog for a couple of reasons.
The first reason, is after a conversation with my niece many years ago. I asked her about why she started her blog. Her reply to me, inspired and encouraged me to start writing in my own blog of what mattered to me the most.
Second reason is because, I am an introvert. Writing in a blog is therapy to me. I can sort out my thoughts and feelings that slosh around in my brain, then put those thoughts and feelings in writings.
Thirdly, It is a forum to show how God works in my life through all and every situation. I get excited when I go back a read some of my old writings, seeing how God has carried me through rough patches and trials, also how He has Blessed me coming out of those trials. I can also look back and see the lessons I have learned and clearly see how God was with me through everything eventhough, at times I thought I was alone and on mine own.
I didn’t know it at the time, but when I stopped writing awhile back it was because of the effort it took to take care of my Mother who now has passed. It was also because of the many health issues that I was also dealing with at the same time.
During this down time recovering from joint replacement, once again thoughts are sloshing around in my head. After years of not writing, it feels good to restart therapy and begin putting thoughts back into words.
You would think that in those times of hardships and rain clouds, you would write the most with many life lessons flying towards you. Like putting a square peg in a round hole, taking time to write just didn’t happen. There was huge lessons learned in that period of time, but also time itself became very short.
My wife and I poured out every ounce of strength, every moment of each day at work and at home caring for not only my Mother, also her Father as he was failing in health and needed our care who was also living with us until his passing.
Looking back at the last 5 or so years, again It is easy to see how God gave both my wife and I strength as caregivers to get up each day and tend to our parents failing health all while working full time jobs.
A year and a half has gone by since our last remaining parent has passed. My wife and I are now “empty nesters” and starting to focus once again on each others needs.
One of the good that has come out of this covid pandemic is, while our State was shut down and both of us on furlough, we found out exactly how compatible we truly are. Spending everyday together from morning to night was truly enlightening. We grew closer as a couple and had many insightful conversations. Again, this was just another example along with confirmation that God has brought us together to work uniformly For His Glory. Our love for each other has grown much deeper and it was hard for us to separate again to go back to work. We are looking forward to the very near future if God permits, when we will be able to retire together and enjoy the rest of our lives.
The most important reason on why I started writing in a blog. It is a way I can share all of Gods Goodness, Blessings, trials with others. Hopefully you can see how God is the most important part of my life. How He protects, corrects, and sustains me every hour, every minute, second of my day. God is there for you also. You just need to call on His name and He will say “come my child and find rest”.
God is my life. Without God there is no life. The more you worship God the more God will show you his steadfast love.
There is such an unspeakable joy that comes when you truly devote and emerse yourself in the truths of our loving Father.
I write because I want you to experience that same joy and to know that what ever life throws at you, God always has you under his wings never giving you anything more than you can handle.
I always think about the poster of a man walking along the beach. He ask God, “Where were you when I needed you most? There is only one set of foot prints in the sand”. God replied, “Those times you needed most, is when I carried you. That is why you only saw one set of foot prints”.
God is always there. We just have to remember to look up and cry out His name.
God has an unending love for you and for me.
God is my hope, God is love. God is the creator of Heaven and earth and I will worship and praise Your Name as long as I have breath.
