You may have heard of “Fact Check”. When the President of the United States gives a speech or nominees for president give speeches trying to convince you that their right for the job, media outlets do fact checks to see if they are speaking of the facts correctly. We as individuals, also need to do a fact check on ourselves. Every once in a while we need to step back, take a good look in the mirror as ask ourselves, How is my character? Have I been trustworthy? Am I who I say I am? If we take time to examine ourselves, then we are not focused on other individuals short falls, or trying to be like someone else. Rather, we are fixing within us what needs to attending too. In the Bible, Jesus tells us that it is easier for a camel to go through and eye of a needle than it is for man to see the kingdom of God. Jesus also points out, that we need to take the log out of our own eye, before we take the splinter out of our neighbors. In today’s terms, we need to make sure that ourselves are walking in the right way according to Christ and worry about how we are living, rather than to judge someone else. I find many times catching my self judging others of the things they are doing, or maybe wishing I could be like them. Both of these things, according to God’s word is a sin. God wants us to be His great ambassador, but in order for us to be a great ambassador we need to be in tune with Christ. We need to continually stay in his word, meditate and pray without ceasing and ask God to help us love all people through His love. If we do a fact check on ourselves on a daily basis, you will allow God’s Holy Spirit to work in your life and will teach and show you areas in your life that need to be improved.
