In the mornings, my dog loves to jump up on my lap and sit between my legs on the recliner. She has done that since she was a puppy. She feels wanted and secure.
In reality, that is what we all want. We want to feel needed, we want to feel safe, we want to feel secure.
The wonderful thing about being a child of God is that we never have to worry about being loved. We are secured in the arms of our Savior. We have hope for tomorrow; we have no fear of death because we know something so much better than we can imagine is waiting for us.
We serve a loving and risen Savior. He only wants the best for us. The only thing He wants in return is for us to totally trust Him. He gave us all the tools and knowledge to get through this world; we just have to do our part and search it out.
You won’t find anything as secure as the love of God.
This holiday season, I encourage you to give God all the praise and glory for everything this past year. Many of you have had trials and struggles. I pray that you turned to God for direction. All we need to do is ask, and He will give us everything we need to endure through the rough times.
If you have been blessed this year, I also pray that you have given God glory and praise with thanksgiving. For it is through only Christ that we can have real joy.
God bless you all.
May God’s peace always be with you.
