My heart has been heavy the last couple of days, and I felt strongly that God wanted me to share what was on it.
Now, I am turning things around and rejoicing in this writing.
I just read a post from one of the social pages that a fellow believer, a sister in Christ, was baptized!
Let’s all stand up and cheer, and clap for this GREAT NEWS! Let’s give glory to our God that a sister in Christ has publicly announced she is walking in the Lord’s footsteps.
I don’t know why we don’t do it, but we as Christians ewe should have a celebration party for those who get baptized. This is a very joyous occasion in anyone’s walk with Christ, and we should celebrate it like we do birthdays, with cake and all!
Let me be clear on baptism.
Being baptized does not and will not give you salvation. Accepting Christ as your Savior doesn’t mean you have to be baptized.
So often, Christians get this confused.
When we ask God for forgiveness and accept His gift of salvation, we, at that point, have opened our hearts to God, and His Holy Spirit fills us. WE ARE SAVED! We belong to Christ. Our names are written in the book of life, and we have now entered into God’s kingdom. That’s it. There are no other steps to be taken, to become one of God’s children.
This is why I say, “SALVATION PLUS NOTHING.” There is nothing else you have to do to enter into God’s throne.
Of course, after you’re saved, you want to follow God and draw closer to Him.
One of the ways we can do this is by following the examples of God’s teachings and being baptized by water.
Being baptized is an outwardly flow of our innermost desire to follow Christ. It is a public statement that you choose to follow God. Baptism will not save you, and you don’t have to be baptized to be saved.
Every Christian should want to be baptized because Jesus was also baptized by John.
Matthew 3:13-17 (KJV): Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, “I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?” And Jesus answering said unto him, “Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon him. And lo a voice from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
When Jesus was baptized, God acknowledged He was pleased, Because God sent His Holy Spirit, and the Trinity of God is now in place.
This is Christianity’s core beliefs: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
God, three in one. This is the Trinity.
This also trips up many people. How can one person be three people at once?
For us, it’s impossible. For God, all things are possible.
Faith starts here. We go by faith that God is who He says He is. We don’t need to understand; it is a mystery of God. Believing by faith, without seeing, but knowing it’s true.
Being baptized is a very joyous occasion and should be celebrated as such. You have publicly made a statement that you put your faith in God.
So if you were just baptized, CONGRATULATIONS!
I will rejoice in the Lord and give Him all the glory for the decision in your life you made to follow our:

ONE TRUE KING!
