It was a warm summer day with the sun shinning brightly over the country side, sitting on an ageless rock looking out over the valley with a cool light summer breeze. Thinking of the past of where I had been, rememebering the laughter with friends shared and the once painful sorrows all but now a mere distant thought.
It is good, just to sit back and reflect and enjoy the times of peaceful rest. There is very little right now going on in my life other than the every day tasks that need to be completed.
God knows and loves his children and allows us to have periods of peace and rest in our lives. He gives us the strength to overcome adversities and trails but also knows that our mind and body and soul needs time to just rest.
These are the moments when we need to take advantage just to sit and reflect on Christ. Remembering where we started from and how Christ has lead us through, what we thought were impossible circumstances to the victories we now enjoy. During these times, we often forget to thank Christ for the hours or days of rest, thinking of just when is the next axe going to fall. Don’t rob yourself of God’s blessing of rest to you. Remember to thank Him for the rest and enjoy the solitude He has given you. Reflect on where you have been and rejoice of what you have came through and give the Glory to our One True King.
